Cincy Brands has acquired Vitabox, a company launched out of Wilbur Labs in 2018. For the Vitabox team, it’s a meaningful milestone and the start of their next phase of growth. For Cincy Brands, it adds proven technology and operational expertise to help brands scale fulfillment and marketplace operations.
Building a Better Essentials Marketplace
Wilbur Labs built Vitabox in 2018 to address growing friction with buying everyday essentials. At the time, shoppers faced an increasingly fragmented market where finding everyday essentials at low prices often meant dealing with shipping delays, inventory shortages, or questionable third party resellers. Vitabox solved these problems by sourcing the highest quality products from top brands while ensuring supply chain integrity, product authenticity, and competitive prices.
The goal from the start was to create a seamless shopping experience for daily health and household necessities. To achieve this, the Wilbur Labs and Vitabox teams developed proprietary technology to manage product data and distribution. This automation allowed Vitabox to reduce overhead, maintain high inventory levels for popular items, and offer competitive pricing at scale.
Proven Under Pressure
Vitabox’s infrastructure was stress-tested during the global pandemic, a period when the shift to ecommerce was accelerated by 5 years. As consumer needs shifted overnight, Vitabox expanded fulfillment operations to seven days a week and accelerated the onboarding of high-demand necessities like disinfectants and cleaning supplies.
Despite the volatility of that period, Vitabox maintained near-perfect customer satisfaction. Today, the company ships more than one million orders annually across Vitabox.com and major marketplaces including Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, maintaining a 99% customer satisfaction rating.
